I love reading books in all the genres I write in, which is probably why I write in those genres. So, when I’m writing contemporary, I tend to read contemporary books. It’s easier to read the genre which I’m currently writing because I can stay focused on that type of story. Otherwise, I might have shifters running through my small towns causing all types of problems.

Why do you write under so many names?
Years ago I began writing under different names because I wanted readers to be able to easily identify what type of story they were getting from me. Since that time, I’ve discontinued the Sapphire Blue pen name as AC’s stories are taking on a more erotic vibe. I’m also not currently writing young adult books.
How do you get your inspiration?
Honestly, any and everything inspires me. It could be someone I know, a place I’ve been to or want to visit, a song, the weather, you name it, I’ve been inspired by it at some point.
Are you a full-time writer?
Yes, I write full-time, meaning I write just about every day. So, to me, that feels like full-time. LOL I also have a day job as a judicial assistant on one of Maryland’s appeals courts.
